A local charity which helps to support children with complex medical needs, is throwing a special Anniversary Ball as part of celebrations to mark its 15th birthday.
The Maypole Project, which is based in Orpington, provides free and flexible support to children and families across Bromley, from diagnosis right through to treatment and beyond.
Tickets are still available for the charity’s flagship event, which is being held on Saturday, September 29 at the Conrad London St James hotel in Westminster.
Chief executive, Sally Flatteau Taylor, said: “The Maypole Project provides a lifeline of support for children with life threatening illnesses and their families – from counselling and support groups, to activities including sports clubs, drumming workshops and soft play sessions.
“In the last 15 years, we have gone from strength to strength – we currently have over 75 volunteers providing tailored support to 1,000 children, young people and their families across South East London every year.
“But, as always, we want to do more – we want to help more families, offer more activities and events and extend our provision in specialist areas such as sensory play.
“Our Anniversary Ball promises to not only be a fantastic night out but your support at this event will help us continue and build upon our great work to date.”
Tickets for the Anniversary Ball cost £80 and include a drinks reception, 3 course dinner, live music, charity auction and dancing until late.
