Superheroes and Disney characters replaced the staff in Beckenham and Penge Specsavers last week for Children in Need.
To support the campaign, which changes children and young people’s lives across the UK, Specsavers stores in Beckenham and Penge had a dress up day for all the staff. The team donned costumes including Olaf, Superman, Mario, Pocahontas, Velma, the Little Mermaid, Mary Poppins and Pikachu.
Customers were encouraged by the staff to donate to Children in Need and get involved with the fun in-store on the day.
Children in Need supports over 3,000 local charities and projects in communities across the UK. The projects help children facing a range of disadvantages for example poverty and deprivation; children who have been the victims of abuse or neglect or disabled young people.
Mina Jethwa, Beckenham store manager, said: “We are really pleased to get involved with Children in Need this year. We love fundraisers that bring us closer to the community and knowing that Children in Need supports projects in our area means it is a cause close to our hearts.
“Dressing up and getting involved is great for our staff and I was so impressed by the variety of costumes that were worn.”
